Inaugural Chautauqua County Book Read
Northwest Arena is proud to be one of many local organizations participating in The Chautauqua County Book Read — a new, county-wide initiative led by the YWCA of Jamestown and Chautauqua Institution. Caste: The Origins of our Discontent by Isabel Wilkerson is the selected common read book. The purpose of this shared book read is to engage Chautauqua County residents, businesses, nonprofits, and organizations to help heal our divides and propel participants to be engaged citizens working towards a more inclusive and just society.
Each participant is encouraged to read the book and attend one book discussion between May 16-27 being hosted at a variety of locations (online or in-person). On Thursday, May 26, you’re invited to join us at the Northwest Arena in the Atrium Boardroom & Rooftop Patio from 5:30-7:30 PM for a facilitated conversation.
