Yes! Students are welcome to bring lunch and enjoy it in designated areas throughout the building. If your group plans to include lunch during the trip, time will be built into your field trip itinerary.
Field trips can be customized to fit your group’s schedule. Most trips last a few hours, with groups arriving shortly after the start of the school day and staying until early afternoon.
There is no official limit on group size. However, if your group exceeds 100 individuals, we may recommend splitting the trip across multiple days to accommodate arena staffing. We will work with you to determine the best option for your group.
We recommend all participants wear gym shoes, especially when visiting TheZone. Groups participating in ice activities should wear warm clothing, long pants, and high socks to help prevent blisters and stay comfortable on the ice.
Pricing varies depending on the activities selected for your group. Field trips are priced per student based on the experiences included. Once your trip date and activities are finalized, we will provide your group with a complete pricing breakdown.
We recommend booking your field trip about 30 days in advance whenever possible. While there is no strict deadline, advanced notice helps us properly schedule staff and prepare for your visit.
There is no set number of required chaperones. We encourage groups to bring enough adults to comfortably supervise students, especially if students are divided into smaller activity groups.
Buses and other vehicles may park along the street adjacent to the arena. We ask that buses unload students at the main entrance before moving to an available nearby parking area if they plan to remain during the trip. Our team will help coordinate the best parking options for your group.
Depending on the activities included in your trip, organizing students into smaller groups before arrival may help streamline the check-in and activity rotation process. While not required, it is often helpful for larger groups.
Our team will contact you the week before your visit to finalize trip details, including your student count. Minor changes in attendance typically will not affect your trip plans.
We welcome field trip groups of all ages and grade levels. Please note that some attractions have age or height requirements. Ice Bumper Cars require participants to be at least 6 years old and 42 inches tall, while TheZone is designed for children ages 2–13.
Your group will generally be the only field trip group scheduled during your visit to ensure the best possible experience.
Field trips are available year-round. Availability may be limited on major holidays, during arena closures, or on dates with previously scheduled events.
Once your trip details are finalized and we receive the appropriate billing contact, an invoice will be sent to your group. Our team will work with you to determine the best payment method. Groups utilizing COSER funding will complete payment arrangements directly through BOCES.
No — all teachers and chaperones attend free of charge with their field trip group.
Yes. As an ADA-accessible facility, we strive to create an inclusive experience for all guests. Many arena activities can also be adapted to meet your group’s needs. We encourage groups to contact our team ahead of time so we can best accommodate all participants.
